charis a écrit:Whoah! Just got an offer for fx-CG10 (it's basically a CG20 that can't display pictures) for $32.5 total!!

Anyway the picture limitations on the fx-CG10 are removed by the latest OS updates (dropped in favor of the test mode).
There is no difference anymore between the fx-CG10 and fx-CG20.

Well by 2014 or so SourceCoder3 allowed creating pictures for the CG10 anyway, and other models like the CSE and CE with full picture support came out around that time so I guess it no longer made sense for Casio to keep that CG10 limitation intact.

I wish there was a way to install newer firmwares on my CG10, though, so that it would have python. Once overclocked to a certain point it's almost a fx-CG50 anyway.

One thing I wanna warn about, though, is that after over a decade and a few years, it seems that the fx-CG10/20 screen protector plastic will start showing some bizzare rainbow effect when you look at it from certain angles under some sources of light. It's not as noticeable when the calc is turned ON and looked at at a 90° angle but I noticed my screen has a slight pink tint near the upper-left. It's barely noticeable, but I have the feeling that this calculator is showing its age.
