Change keyboard and screen of a ti-nspire cx

Good morning everyone
I have two ti-nspire cx and one of the two doesn't work.
The calculator that works well has a keyboard and a screen ruined because i have used it a lot.
Can I change the keyboards and screens of the two calculators?

Buon giorno.

It depends on the calculators hardware revisions. Some revisions are compatible, and some other aren't.
We need the datestamps, a 7-8 characters code (something like P-0000A, where 0 can be replaced by any digit, and A by 1-2 letters) printed on the back at the right of the serial number.

My hardware revision is: P-0417AB

I don't have here the other calculator, but i remember the revision was P-0000AB

If both are W+ (W, X, Y, Z, AA, AB, ...), then you can swap the screens.

But W+ calculators are quite difficult to open cleanly, since 2 screws are hidden under the screen frame, the blue ones below :


Once opened, swapping the screens is easy : they're connected to the PCB through an FFC cable which you just need to unlock and then relock :

And i can't swap the keyboards?

You can swap the keys and/or their contacts sheet, yes.

So i must remove the battery, the slot opposite to the calculator screen and, then, i can open the calculator, right?

As illustrated, you need :

• a cross slot screwdriver
• a torx screwdriver (T6 head size)

The steps are to :

• remove the battery cover and battery
• remove both bottom screws on the back
• remove both screws hidden under the top pads on the back
• remove the screen frame (difficult)
  
• remove both then revealed screws
• separate both case parts

The rest should be easy.
