We bought a TI nspire CX about 3 years ago for our daughter. She ended up never using it. But my son now needs it...so I tried plugging it in to the charger but it gets stuck in a loop trying to start up. The loading screen comes up (pic 1 below)...the settings icon has a yellow triangle with the ! on it...so I guess that means some kind of error. If I leave it..it just keeps trying to load up with the progress bar moving along...then going to a screen with the little loading circle (pic 2 below)...then the screen goes blank and it repeats this over and over.
I'm really not sure what to do. Anyone know if this is able to be salvaged or time to throw it in the bin?
Thanks
TI-nspire CX won't start up

Hi.
I think it's just the low battery icon.
And when the battery is very low, the calculator can't start completely.
First, you could try to leave the calculator charging. This may require several hours.
You'd rather use an USB power adapter instead of a computer if possible.

Hi...thanks for the reply.
Yes, I've left it on charge overnight and still nothing. I read somewhere to take the battery out for a period, then put it back in and try again. But that didn't work either. Is it possible the battery is completely fried?
