Then the calculator is not booting with ControlX.

Did you press X just 1 time in the ControlX menu, as told above ?
If you did press X several times, then you did revert the change.

Did you have any ndless startup programs installed, and does pressing ctrl do anything when booting, esc menu minus should not be used normally that was only to fix controlX.
if pressing ctrl gives you a menu, press the number 2 on the keypad twice and see if that works.
reformatting will not help you most likely and may break your calculator even more.

no startup programs, presing ctrl doesn't do anything. sorry, i'm like a headless chicken right now trying to avoid bricking this calc even more.

You will then have to try esc menu minus again (make sure you are holding the keys down BEFORE you reset) and then press x then reset and only use ctrl
