Seems ControlX wasn't the problem when attempting to boot maintenance mode; it seems that instead, maintenance mode would sometimes just fail to load.
After trying and failing to connect to UART via J01, I eventually just formatted the system. Lesson learned: don't charge my calculator(?)

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
I haven't gotten around to trying to fix my newer TI-Nspire CX (P-0515V). I believe I did try booting the other Boot2 (v4.5.3.14), as well as whatever Boot1 and Boot1.5 were present, but none helped. I didn't try booting maintenance mode from the previously mentioned Boot2, however. I guess the &quo...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
Right, I wasn't sure ControlX had any part in the matter, but figured I'd post here since I did have it installed. I wasn't able to get the maintenance menu to load with ControlX enabled; the boot combo wouldn't do anything. Erasing the OS from the maintenance didn't work, as I mentioned; it landed ...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
Hey folks, I have a bit of an issue with my TI-Nspire CX (P-0515V) with ControlX 5.0.3 and OS v4.5.3.14 installed. I was going to charge my calculator the other day (notably, it was fully powered down, as I have it set to "hibernate" after one day), and when I plugged it in, it started boo...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
For the moment, how about setting Boot2 4.4 as your default boot image ? That works, thanks! I was trying to get that setup before, but didn't realize that you had to type [4] before [ctrl] to boot an image in ExtendeD by default. I was typing [ctrl] -> [4] -> [1], which ultimately set default = {1...

Here's a screenshot of BtMg: https://tiplanet.org/forum/images/forum_uploads/106676_1613658525_602e799d983c9.png Note that I manually flashed the BOOT2 in EXTND to 4.4.0; it was originally 4.0.3 (as the guide (mistakenly?) links), but I figured I should update it to sate my constant need to be on th...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
Great work! I can confirm that nBoot + ControlX is working on my TI-Nspire CX with OS 4.5.3.14 (P-0515V), along with Ndless auto-install, which I am very grateful for (nSonic is a life saver). However, I must have messed up by accidentally installing OS 4.5.0 or 4.5.3 without ControlX enabled (to pa...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
196MHz is the highest safe optimal value. Higher frequencies aren't that interesting because : - a AHB slightly higher than 66MHz is likely to silently but progressively corrupt your NAND data - and if you lower the AHB, it will be much lower than 66MHz and thus impact the NAND performances Also, I...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
1) it does; 156 is the default on A-V 2) to fix that you need to flash the appropriate "standard v2" manuf for the calculator (in the archives here) 1) Oh, thanks for correcting me. I assume that 196MHz is the safest "universal" clock speed? Would it be possible to change the ov...

Re: [Tuto] [EN/FR] Install/Installer nBoot + ControlX (+Linu
Hello. I asked a few questions on the first page of this thread, and now I have a few more! 1. Does ControlX still overclock the calculator? I recall it doing so in earlier versions, but now it displays "CPU=198" when booting, which I believe is the default clock speed. 2. Is there any way...
