his project is huge so wait (it is already very good that you've done the 151 sprites of the pokemon) it can't be done in 1 day

Re: Pokemon Purple
Thank you. ^_^
I have an idea to remove roughly 10k of data off of the sprites, utilizing some... different... coding styles.
(No, Not assembly)
I also have all the Pokemon's base data in, and will soon be adding all the statistic formulas in. (That will be fun... yeah right...
)
So right now, I am guessing the game is around 8% completed.

Re: Pokemon Purple
for when the first release?
will you extract the statistic formulas from the game boy games ?
what's the different...coding styles (
) ?
(answers in the next episode
)
this program will take all the RAM because of all the things, the sprites, the data...no ?

Re: Pokemon Purple
Alot of the data will be hidden in archive.
As to the new coding style...
I am using hex for the sprite data, which is normally limited to 0-9, A-F as Values. I decided to add to that, character "G", and make it worth 8 0's, or a whole row of blank sprites.
And yes, the equations are directly from the game boy.

Re: Pokemon Purple
It is roughly only 8%, but will climb quickly once I start adding maps, and finish up the stats stuff.
