Nspire Cx CAS Linux help
Hello everyone! I’m new here and need expert advice on how to install Linux onto my nspire cx cas. I have downloaded nboot, loaded controlx and when i tried to load the Linux.tns file onto my calc I got this error on The interface “Source image exceeds area and has been rejected. Choose higher dest location”
I’m not technologically savvy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, preferably with screenshots. Thank you SO much for your time.
Charlie
Ps I’m not sure if this is the right place for this question, forgive my ignorance. I’m new here.

Re: Nspire Cx CAS Linux help
Ok, thanks.
Well, the problem is simple.
The Linux image you are trying to install needs 2000 Flash pages.
But your ExtendeD partition is only 640 pages large, and only has 49 free pages.
You need to resize your ExtendeD partition to at least 2591 pages (A1F in hexadecimal).
Note this will wipe out the file system.

Re: Nspire Cx CAS Linux help
Hello all, sorry to bother you again. I have loaded the linux image onto btmg, with 7777 pages to spare, see attachment, but when I try to open it, the calculator reboots, and it does not open the linux image. Does anyone have any idea as to how to resolve this issue?
Thanks!
C
Thanks!

Re: Nspire Cx CAS Linux help
Hi.
Where does your Linux image come from ?
How do you open it ?
And by the way, what's your Boot1 version ?
This can be checked by pressing
and then the about button.
Thanks.

Hi. My Linux image is the demo from this link. viewtopic.php?t=18920&p=206415
I used BtMg to open the image, and my Boot1 vs is 4.5 is it compatible with ndless 4.5 and os 4,5?
