Hello guys,
I found out that my calculator (TI-nspire CAS Clickpad) turns off suddenly if I press under the cover of the battery.
Unfortunately, sometimes, even just moving it, turn off, and this problem makes it unusable.
After some tests I found that the problem stems from the button marked in yellow, as in the figure.

Someone can tell me what is this button?
Do you know a way to fix this?

Hi

The calculator off, but does not reset.
Then, it seems to me that the reset button is the one marked in red

maybe I'm wrong?

Just to get more information, what's the datecode etc. (the characters to the right of the serial number, on the back of the calc) ?
I don't remember such a switch and was wondering if it's a prototype... but then again, I may be wrong, I haven't "studied" the clickpad's board in a long time

Hi

the code behind is: 2046009116 S-0707
The calculator I bought used in France and is not a prototype,
and thanks to you, I was able to upgrade to version 3.6.0.546

However I solved the problem by simply attaching under the rear seat, where there is a hole, a piece of tape,
because that button It is pressed from the battery cover by entering the pin in the hole.
That way when I insert the battery cover, the pin holds crushed well the button.
Well, now no longer shuts down

According to the PCB pictures, it's a TI-Nspire CAS ClickPad.

The yellow circled button is to detect if the battery door is opened/closed.

Yes, I think you're right critor

Think before I had redone all welds in the connectors and the problem resurfaced.
However, I could not stay still and look for a solution, and then I realized
that the problem was caused by the poor functioning of the button circled in yellow.
