Does it ask you to install an OS?

If yes, you've succeeded.

- just install any Nspire CAS OS between 1.4 and 2.0.1
- and then install the latest 3.1 CAS OS

Glad it worked

You can also install OS 2.1.0 and use Ndless 2.0, which is easier to install and use.
Or you can use the 3.1 CAS OS, which is the latest one but may return you bad results when using the CAS.
