NAND Repartition to the initial factory settings?
Hi all,
I followed the tutorial from this link to install CAS functions in my Ti Nspire CX.

However, I didn't notice that my calculator's hardware revision is incompatible, and now I couldn't go further.
I already completed Step C : Repartition the NAND by using NsPartManagic, and I feel that my calculator's remaining space became less, so I want to return it to the initial factory value.

Step C: Repartition the NAND
Download nsPartManagic.
Transfer nsPartManagic to your calc (in any folder).
Install Ndless (open ndless installer file, press [Ctrl]+[W]).
Open nsPartManagic.
Press [3] to select BootData (BootD).
Press [left] to resize BootD until its size matches 0080 pages (the number in parenthesis beside BootD, green).
Press [esc] to return.
Press [6] to select Filesystem (FileS).
Press [left] and [right] to adjust the size of ExtnD (NOT FileS: you are moving the filesystem therefore shrinking/growing ExtnD, not the filesystem itself) to 0480 pages (the number in parenthesis beside FileS, gray).
Press [esc] to return.
Press [esc] to commit. Your calc will warn you that it may cause bricking, etc (which will NOT happen if you followed the instructions). Press [Y] to confirm.
The calculator will reformat the NAND. Once it is done, press [esc] to exit.
Press the reset button. Your calc will reboot, asking for a new OS.
Install OS 4.4, as you downloaded earlier.
Boot into OS and select language, etc.

What are the six initial values that came from the factory, (ManuF, Boot2, BootD, Diags, DgSta, ExtnD, FileS), and how can I reset those values to factory values? (before I did Step C)
I really want you guys to give me help!
* I remember that there wasn't the value called ExtnD before I did Step C.

Hi.
Unfortunately, there is currently no ease way/tutorial for installing a CX CAS OS on HW-W+ CX calculators.
- In nsPartManagic, just relocate the Diags partition by pressing and to give 3 squares to the BootD partition (dark green). Type and apply your changes.
- Then, format the ExtnD partition by holding while ressetting the calculator.
- Launch nsPartManagic again, you should now be able to nullify the ExtnD partition : relocate the FileS partition by pressing and , until the ExtnD patition disappears completly. Type and apply your changes.
- Now reset the calculator and reinstall an OS.
Unfortunately, there is currently no ease way/tutorial for installing a CX CAS OS on HW-W+ CX calculators.

Thank you for the reply. I understand how to roll back the file systems to factorized settings. But I have a few questions about your steps:
1. For the second step (pressing a combination of keys and formatting the ExtnD partition), do I have to do the exact same thing as when I go into the maintenance mode? (Press and hold the three buttons while the handheld is on - press the reset button at the back - hold the three buttons still until the menu appears)
2. In the quote "installing a CX CAS OS on HW-W+ CX calculators", what does HW-W+ mean? I heard from a tutorial that Nspire CX calculators with hardware revision after V won't work.

Yes, same process as the maintenance combo.

Thank you for the specific info. I'll try a few hours later at night, and I'll ask you further questions if I'm stuck or getting some errors.
But I think that I'll get succeeded! Does the overall storage amount shown in the Nspire's setting page increase?

It says that the storage capacity is 115.2MB. (Ti Nspire CX)

Then, can you recommend me some interesting projects I can do with this calculator? (Giving links in tiplanet.org will be helpful)
I have found that playing GBA games or installing a Linux operating system is hard but challenging. Can you recommend me anything I can do with my Ti Nspire CX?

You can install KhiCAS, which is a port of GIAC, the Xcas calc engine :

It'll give you CAS features.
You can install a Game Boy Advance emulator, and many other console emulators too.
He's the most up to date list :

You should be able to launch a Linux image, but you'll need nBoot+ControlX to be able to launch it at boot time, which won't work on your hardware revision W+.
