I installed a GBA emulator called GPSP in my Nspire CX calculator. It is also in one of the threads in this website.
However, the games I tried to launch (e.g. Pokemon Fire Red, Super Mario Deluxe) lag seriously. They have a lot of frame drops which makes me annoying.
I overclocked the calculator within the maximum capability with Nover, and also set the graphics options for GPSP as it makes the frame skip automatic.
Some Youtube videos demonstrate to me that it is possible to run GBA games smoothly without any lags, but in my device, that doesn't seem to happen. (such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_K0yxTHWSA)
Any solutions for this?
GBA Emulator (GPSP) lags and has huge frame drops..

This is a result of new, less efficient LCD hardware in HW W+ (the screen is now 240x320 and sideways, so all images on it must be rotated before display). I have no idea why they used that screen.

Probably simply because this one was cheaper and more recent (also allowing them to unify their sourcing to GiantPlus, for both the CX and CE series).
Why would they care if they have to first rotate the buffer if it's fast enough for their marketed purposes (math&science, after all), as long as their target users don't notice? (which they don't, since they also overclocked the CPU a bit on the Nspire, and on the CE we just have a DLOD on games). Basically as long as teachers don't complain, they have no reason to do something else.

So you mean there are no possible solutions for this?

Modifying the emulator to write to the screen as the hardware natively expects it - but last time this was tried, it didn't work so well, and it wasn't debugged because of the lack of access to such new hardware.

So, do you mean that there is currently no definite solution for devices using the new LCD screen?
