Sorry everyone if a similar problem had been posted! I looked through the forum and I can't finf anything similar. I have a CX CAS that had been stuck on the boot screen with the tringle exclaimation mark(See attached Photo). I tried to get in the maintenence menu as well as the diagnostic menu, but the calculator does not respond to either and just boot straight to that screen and just stuck there. Computer does not detect it at all. Does someone know whats wrong with it? Or is it completely bricked at this point? I should mention the battery is also completely dead, but it couldnt be because of no battery that it refuse to boot?

It's as if the calculator was stuck within the Boot1 :

Because no valid/compatible Boot2 image can be found.
Does the screen change to this after a moment ?

What were your doing before the problem occurred ?

Yep. Exactly as you posted. Do I have any hope for this calculator or is my only option to use uart and flash it with a serial adapter?

To be honest, I'm not sure. This was in storage and I'd like to give it a try to fix it. I think I was flashing nlaunchy but I used the wrong boot2 file as mine is an unsupported revision at the time.

Ok, thanks.
Indeed, if you have a hardware revision J+ and did flash a Boot2 version older than 3.2, it won't work.

The only way will be to reflash a compatible more recent Boot2 version by connecting an USB/TTL interface :

Could you possibly point me in the right direction about how to go about doing that? I'm not very familar with CX's file structure. What command do I issue after establishing a serial interface? Thank you so much for all the help you have given!

You'll just need to send the file using a specific software, like Windows Hyperterminal for example.

Here's the setup :
Protocol : Xmodem
Baud rate : 115200
Data : 8 bit
Parity : none
Stop : 1 bit
Flow control : none

Ah I see. I press "Doc+Enter+2" to enter into the boot2 downloader mode, and I just send the file. Thanks! :)
