Hey guys, new to the HP Prime and im having trouble getting a clean derivative answer to (2/3(x^2+1)^3/2) using diff() and d/dx template. diff(2/3(x^2+1)^3/2) and d(2/3(x^2+1)^3/2) / dx are the exact inputs I entered into the calculator.
Edit: Also, getting an error message " Warning, constant function 2/3 applied to x" How do I get around this, thinking this may be where the function messes up.

Re: Derivatives involving sq roots - HP Prime
The warning means that you mistyped.
When putting a number or letter directly before a parethesis makes the calculator think it is the name of a function applied to what is between the parenthesis.
You HAVE TO put a * to mark the multiplication.
I also think you forgot a pair of parenthesis around 3/2...
