I've rebuilt nLoader with support for the latest OS+Ndless 4.5.4.
If you'd like to use OS 4.5.4 on a calculator already running nLoader, you have to update in the following order :
  1. Ndless
  2. nLoader
  3. OS

The CAS .bin image has been tested on the following setups :
  • TI-Nspire CX CAS, hardware revision W, Boot1.5 version 4.4.0, Boot2 version 4.4.0, OS version 4.5.3
  • TI-Nspire CX CAS, hardware revision W, Boot1.5 version 4.4.0, Boot2 version 4.4.0, OS version 4.5.4

The non-CAS .bin image is untested.

So the updated supported OS versions list is 3.6, 4.4.0, 4.5.0, 4.5.3 and 4.5.4.

Since there has been no issues reported regarding my previous build adding OS+Ndless 4.5.3 support, I'm going to link to these newer files in the how-to.

BEFORE YOU READ: If you had a problem like this is because Boot 1.5 has been updated and you dind´t reflashed the Boot 1.5 which makes nLoader not to work. When you are updating nLoader and the OS, don´t just ignore step E. As you can see it cost me a LOT

Hi, I used to use nLoader in OS 4.4 but today I´ve decided to update to OS 4.5.3.14 when I saw that update above.

Now that I´ve updated the OS and created the new nLoader boot with nMaker and those files and flashed it, no my calculator gets stuck on 10% boot!

I´ve tried starting with the diags method ( :nsme: + :nsmo: + :nses: ) but it´s not working, the calculator reaches 10% of the bar and then shuts down. I can´t seem to be able to enter the maintenance menu either.

Edit:Nevermind, I just ended up buying a USB-TTL device to flash the Boot 2 into the calculator. I´m just leaving this as a issue warning.

Hi, is it possible to use nLoader in conjunction with Ti Nspire CX II? Or is there a different software altogether?

Preliminary checks :
  • P1) Check that your calculator is a TI-Nspire CX, TI-Nspire CX CAS, TI-Nspire CX-C or TI-Nspire CX-C CAS.

Hence the follow up question - is there a different software altogether for installing a similar software on the CX II platform?

Sorry, nothing similar for the CX II as far as I know.

Does anyone know how I can have startup apps to work?

If I have anything in /documents/ndless/startup, my calculator will stay stuck in the clock icon during boot, unless I keep the :nses: key pressed.

At first I thinked it was just ndless fault, which in OS 4.4 also was and made my calculator enter a bootloop.

But now with OS 4.5.0 the issue persits but only for the nLoalder side. If I install Ndless without nLoader with things in the startup folder in OS 4.5.0 it will work. Contrary to OS 4.4.

Additional:It doesn´t metter if the app presents the "Compatibility mode" screen. It will always get stuck in clock boot

Here is a list:

OS 4.4 only:

nClock:Didn´t test on OS 4.5 because nClock doesn´t even present the clock on the main screen so it´s not worth it for me to try

Both OS:

nPDF:I know it takes some time for nPDF to open succesfully, but 5 minutes passed and still the clock is still stuck

nDoom

crafti

These last two were only to test it.

nClock isn't compatible with versions 4.4+.

nPDF, nDoom and crafti aren't startup programs, you shouldn't put them in the /ndless/startup/ folder.
