Hi.

You likely made an error at step D when selecting the 2nd file to build the nLoader image.

  • hold :nses: :nsme: :nsmo:
  • without releasing these 3 keys, quickly press and release the reset button on the back
The calculator should boot normally.
Then resume at step D.

Then it seems you also didn't correctly follow the instructions at step C. :(

I'm sorry, your calculator is now semi-bricked and can't be repaired through software.

You'll need a cheap USB TTL interface to reflash the Boot2 partition :
39
ExtraPutty for example can then be used to send the new Boot2 image : http://www.extraputty.com/
Setup :
115200 baud.
Data bits: 8
Parity: Even
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Thanks for the guide. I bricked my AD model Nspire. Somehow i managed to boot the calculator by pressing the following keys " :nses: :nsme: :nsmo: " and the reset button, i can use the scratchpad for example but the calculator remains broken. If i press the reset button it gets stuck again in a loading screen with a error sign (cross in a red circle). Also the "Ndless installed" message disapeared and i cant open *.tns files. I tried installing the previous os by dragging it into the calculator using the link software, it installed but the same problems remains. I dont know what i did wrong on the installation. But if someone could tell me what to do as i cant boot the calculator, i would be very greatful if that means anything to you...

NVM, easily fixed it thanks to critor, like critor said to others i didnt pay attention the the steps and all i had to do was start again from the step D(ALSO HAD TO REINSTALL NDLESS. I think the step D is kinda tricky and confusing i tought the the D5 was the same of D4 and that i was reading the same step again, instead of seleting the two files i selected the first one and some random filme next or the same one. A lot of people are also getting tricked by this, i think it should be put in a more clear way. Thank you critor for providing the solution anyway, and good luck to everyone elese. Sucessfuly got my NON CAS TO CAS nspire cx, model: N-0618AD.

Also it would be great if somehow i could remove the "CAS" and "ndless installed". I bought this calculator because i wanted it to be allowed in my class, if it the teacher know it is CAS i might get in trouble. I want that feature because it makes me feel more secure and less nervous in the tests as i am able to be sure of the answers i make. I dont care if you consider that as cheating or not. The scholar system is corrupt itself. If someone could manage to help me with removing those id be greatful once again. If i discovered a way id put online for everyone as i wont care of corrupting something that is made to corrupt us.

Hi.

Everything you want, nLoader doesn't need any files once installed.

If you'd like to keep Ndless, just keep the /ndless/ndless_resources file.

Hi, I just would like to ask whether this can work with an AB revision: I would like to install the CAS OS on a non CAS calculator, but I don't know whether it is better to wait after my exams. Don't worry: any calculator is allowed on the exams I am gonna take, also CAS calculators :)
Many Thanks
