Tested both programs from the archives and from the rebuilt project.

Yep, here is a video showing the original vs. the improved version (which I've now put in the archives as well):
We don't see the

enter

keypress but obviously it's done exactly at the same time.

We can see the fade effect takes a shorter amount of time, and the animation itself is a bit faster as well (though less visibly)
