Transformation complète de TI-73 Explorer en TI-83 Plus
Posté: 09 Aoû 2013, 14:08La TI-73 Explorer est une calculatrice graphique d'entrée de gamme commercialisée entre autres en Amérique du Nord et en Inde. Elle prend donc la place dans ces pays-là de nos TI-76.fr et TI-82 Stats.fr françaises.

Comme la TI-76.fr, la TI-73 Explorer dispose de fonctionnalités mathématiques restreintes.

Malgré ces différences, les TI-73 Explorer, TI-76.fr et TI-82 Stats.fr utilisent des cartes mère dérivées de la TI-83 Plus: processeur z80, 32Ko de mémoire RAM et 512Ko de mémoire ROM Flash.
Despite this, the TI-73 Explorer, TI-76.fr and TI-83 Stats.fr use derivative motherboards from the TI-83 Plus: z80 processor, 32Ko RAM memory and 515Ko ROM Flash memory.
Grâce à ces similarités matérielles nous avions déjà vu qu'il était possible de transformer avantageusement une TI-73 Explorer en TI-83 Plus en y installant un système TI-83 Plus légèrement modifié par l'outil Chameleon de Brandon Wilson, tout comme il est de même possible chez Casio de transformer une Graph 35+USB en Graph 75.
(notons que si une transformation similaire de TI-76.fr et TI-82 Stats.fr en TI-83 Plus est en théorie possible, en pratique elle n'a pas encore été réalisée, la difficulté étant que ces calculatrices font tourner un système de type TI-83 ne gérant que 256Ko de mémoire ROM et uniquement en lecture seule, et qu'il n'a pas été possible à ce jour d'accéder à un éventuel Boot Code ne disposant pas de ces limitations)

Thanks to these similarities we had seen that it was possible to do a benefical transformation of the TI-73 Explorer to TI-83 Plus by installing a slight modified TI-83 Plus OS by the Chameleon tool of Brandon Wilson, just as it is possible among Casio to transform a Graph 35+USB to Graph 75.
(note that if a theoretical similar transformation of TI-76.fr and TI-82 Stats.fr to TI-83 Plus is possible, in practice it hasn't been done yet, the wall being that these calculators do run a TI-83 system type handling only 256Ko ROM memory and only read-only, and it isn't possible yet (unless someone finds a way) to access to a possible Boot Code which doesn't have this walling limitation.

Un des problèmes faisant suite à cette transformation est que les TI-73 Explorer et TI-83 Plus disposent de claviers différents.
One of the problems following this transformation : the TI-73 Explorer and TI-83 Plus do not have the same keyboard.
Mais Diameter de cnCalc.org vient enfin, après toutes ces années, de compléter notre transformation en s'occupant de corriger les touches du clavier!
