Seller does not speak English very well and seems to be confused as to why I am asking this :-p UPDATE: Turns out that that calculator is not a prototype at all! The eBay seller just copied the title of the listing from another listing of the cas+ because he doesn't know English very well and doesn't know the difference. It's running 1.6.4295 and there's no square on the boot screen. He says he's going to delete the word prototype from the listing

In case you're wondering, I don't just hang out on eBay looking for prototypes. I set up email notifications for "nspire rare", "nspire prototype", "nspire evt/dvt/pvt", "nspire development", and "nspire engineering" (that one has some false positives).

All CAS+ seem to be PVT prototypes.
They probably have Boot1+Boot2 1.0.526 and OS 1.0.554.

The CAS one looks like a DVT2.0 prototype.
The hardware is probably not interesting (except for the presoldered J04/JTAG connector).
The Boot1+Boot2+OS+Diags might be interesting.

I currently don't have enough spare money to buy it, but I will attempt to get the person to dump the OS with TILP if it's not 2.0 or newer; if it is I will give up. I won't bother with boot1/boot2 unless they're really interesting (like before 6818 which I doubt because it's a DVT2)

The DVT2.0 CAS is still interesting if you want to mess with JTAG, since it'll have a presoldered J04/JTAG connector.

On PVT CAS+, the J04/JTAG connector is not soldered.
You'll need either EVT/DVT CAS+ which are very rare, or to solder it yourself.

Speaking of rare: why do you think Touchpad and CX prototypes are so rare? I've never seen any sold anywhere. Only a few have ever even been on taobao.

I'm interesting by the Nspire CAS prototype. But, he's expensive though.
And it seems the seller doesn't ship to France

Yes, the seller of the last item told me 1.0.526, 526, 554. Not interesting
