Battery displays 0%
Battery displays 0%
Greetings, fellas!
I just bought an calculator off eBay and unboxed it with excitement. It came with 0% battery so I have to charge it. The calculator works and boots up upon charging. However, it did not come with wall charger, so I have to charge through computer. Since I charge for around 25 minutes, it displays 0%. I also disconnected the charger if it can last a little bit other than dead, but it immediately went dead. I'm worried a little, because it seems to be stuck in 0%. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Re: Battery displays 0%
Well, Nspire CX CAS take a long time charging and especially if it is charged through computer. Best would be a wall charger, but if you haven't one, well, computer is okayish enough. Just let it charge 4h+.

Re: Battery displays 0%
Thank you for responding. I was thinking if I can charge through my existing tablet wall charger if it can speed it up a little, will that be okay?

Re: Battery displays 0%
It's very long and not accurate at all since the battery indicator can only show certain values : 0%, 5%, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%.
So if you've got the impression it's stuck, it's just normal.

Re: Battery displays 0%
Okay, I understand about that now, thank you critor! Can I charge my calculator through tablet wall adapter? Will it damage the battery? Will it reduce the lifespan? Is it safe to do it? Thanks!

Re: Battery displays 0%
One more question, how long does it take to charge to full?
Still at 0% battery.
Still at 0% battery.

Re: Battery displays 0%
Update:
Battery seems to be defective, or won't accept charge at all. Had to pay 20 dollars for a wall charger, and a replacement battery. So disappointing.

Re: Battery displays 0%
Some old batteries only charge "well" when you're in the diags menu, in the AC / Battery status page. I've had that on an old one of mine.

Re: Battery displays 0%
It's an old 2010 battery of mine, so I'm guessing that most of the old factory batteries are defective... I'll try it with status window open.
