I was trying to install a CAS os on my Ti Nspire CX with controlx, i may have bricked it. I remember flashing controlx to my boot2 partition in Btmg, and then my calculator would be stuck on this screen every time it boot up. I have tried to access the controlx menu, I have tried to access the maintenance menu but it never works, esc menu minus doesn't either, it just gets stuck on that screen and I don't know what to do. Would Ti Support be of any help to me, since i got it secondhand and well I'm not supposed to try doing that>

v:4.4.0
Controlx:Version 5.0.5
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

edit:I managed to boot into controlx earlier, but I though deleting it might fix my calculator, unfortunately, it did not.

Hello.

It looks like your calculator doesn't have a bootable image in the Boot2 partition.
If you followed our how-to, you should have a Boot2 copy in the Diags partition.

Try to boot on the Diags partition :
  • press and hold the reset button on the back
  • without releasing it, press and hold the 3 keys
    doc
    enter
    EE
  • without releasing these keys, release te reset button
  • if the calculator doesn't automatically turn on, still without releasing the keys, press
    ⌂/on

Well, I've tried to boot into the Diags partition, but it keeps displaying the same screen, i think i might've set diags as the deafault boot earlier, but it still keeps showing up like that. Is there anyway I can boot into another partition, and would that even be useful.
Thanks in Advance

The
doc
enter
EE
combo has to be done very accurately, or it won't work.
doc
enter
EE
combo tries to boot the non-default partition. So if it's Diags in your case, then it'll try Boot2.

If you are sure you performed the combo accurately, then it would mean both your Boot2 and Diags partitions aren't loaded with bootable images, which would be strange if the nBoot+ControlX installation was done by following our how-to.

In this case, the next step would be trying to figure out what's wrong. And since the calculator doesn't boot, we need to read the boot logs.
A cheap USB-TTL converter can be used for this : https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+ttl
It needs to be connected to the dock port like this :

Thank you so much for your help, but I do have one more question, so how am I supposed to use the converter when it does get connected and how do I connect the wires like you showed in the diagram. Do I have to solder it on or something, or is there another way.
Thanks
