I bricked both boot methods..

I tried to upgrade my Ti-Nspire CX to CAS and I bricked my calculator...
I reboot both normal way and the other one using ESC+MENU+(-) but both methods are all bricked.

When I normally press the reset button on the backside, it says "Operating System not found. Install OS now."
At this time, I tried to reinstall OS using my Ti Software but it still says Install OS even after I did.
When I press the three buttons and the reset button, it first notices me that the calculator has been modified to enable CAS but, during the loading, it stops and shows me the Red X circle.

I found that I need the USB to TTL Converter to fix this problem but it didn't tell me how I can fix using the convertor.

Can anyone give me a hand and save me from this issue?

Very strange that you get the red X only when holding
esc
menu
-
.

Anyway, people who get the red X but did accurately follow the rest our tutorial usually have to hold
esc
menu
-
to get at the "Operating System not found. Install OS now." screen.
If they don't, they need the USB-TTL adapter to regain access to this screen.

You apparently still have access to this screen so you don't need anything else. Just send an OS.
Try with both CAS and non-CAS 4.5.0 OSes. It may not work.
If it doesn't work, then try both CAS and non-CAS 4.5.2 OSes. This time it should work.

Thank you for the reply.
I connected the calculator and installed OS on the calculator but it still shows the same notice that I need OS even after I installed it.

This is why I mentioned USB-TTL adapter. So, do you know how to handle the adapter to regain access to the screen?

The USB-TTL adapter purpose is to repair a broken/erased and thus non-working Boot2.
You apparently have a working Boot2 since you get to the "install OS" screen, so apparently there is no need for an USB-TTL adapter.

The problem is somewhere else.

Does the calculator reboot after the OS transfer is complete ?
Which OS version and type (CAS / non-CAS) did you try ?

Thanks.

Does the calculator reboot after the OS transfer is complete?
: Yes, it automatically rebooted after the OS transfer is complete but showed the same message. I also rebooted using the back button but it has the same issue.

Which OS version and type (CAS / non-CAS) did you try?
: I downloaded OS TI-Nspire CX and CX CAS with version 4.5.0.1180 and 4.5.2.8 from the Ti-planet OS category and tried with all of them.
My calculator couldn't detect CAS OS so I tried non-CAS OSs only

Ok, thanks.

So try again with CX OS 4.5.0.
But before the end of the OS transfer and thus before the calculator reboots, try holding :nses: :nsme: :nsmo: (3 keys, no more), and don't release the keys before the reboot.
Tell us if it changes anything.

If CX OS 4.5.0 gives you an error popup on the computer, please try the same thing with CX OS 4.5.1 or 4.5.2.
Thanks.

Nothing changes. It still shows the red box when I boot using :nses: :nsme: :nsmo: buttons
I know there are two ways of booting. The normal boot still shows infinite ask for installing OS and another one shows red box.
I think I did something wrong when I set partition at first. So, it shows the red box. After that, I used :nses: :nsme: :nsmo: access to fix that issue. I expect I massed up the OS again and that is why both boots don't work anymore.
I'm not sure this will be helpful but I switched 'boot=Boot2 Diags' to 'boot=Diags Boot2' when I tried to install ControlX
:mmm:

Thanks.

Did you try CX OS 4.5.0 ?
Did you get the red box with this version ?

Is CX OS 4.5.0 different with 4.5.0.1180 that I tried before?
I could only see 4.5.0.845 and 4.5.0.1180 versions

It's 4.5.0.1180.

Can you retry 4.5.0.1180, hold :nses: :nsme: :nsmo: before the reboot, and then check if you still get the red box ?

Thanks.
