Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
So when it only looks like the calc doesn‘t turn on maybe the TTL Interface works. (But I have no idea how to use that )

Maybe indeed; maybe the Boot2 partition is corrupt and you're in the Boot1.
You need to buy an USB/TTL interface (shouldn't be much more than 5€), and connect it like this :
The parameters then for the client software (HyperTerminal included in some Windows versions, Putty...) are then :

Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
Bougth this USB to TTL, but it’s a cable. No different, but only one question:
The cable has four colours: red, black, green and white. White and green are the TxD/RxD, but what if these is the “GND”?
On the package red is 5V DC and black is “mass”.
Can I use this cable on MacOS to? It would be easier than Windows
Thanks for your time!

Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
Hi,
at the moment I’m struggling with connecting the cable to the pins at the bottom, it’s hard.
Three questions: what’s to do after sending the stuff?
In PuTTY there is a text box with “COM1”, what enter there?
And i found this cable yesterday; im not sure but is it a TTL, because it fits into the slot on the top of the calc.
Thanks for your time )

Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
The TI-Nspire CX large top connector has never been documented so far, so I don't know what's possible to do with it.
About the COM port, check your computer device manager to see which COM port number does appear when you connect the USB/TTL interface.

Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
What is supposed to happen after sending this data over the serial pins?
So I can see if I do it wrong ;
BTW, what’s to do for a factory reset or something similar, because I can’t use a CAS calculator in math tests

Re: Bricked TI-Nspire CX (black screen)
When you get the right COM port and connections, set putty to 115200 bauds.
The calculator should then be able to talk to putty.
Reset the calculator while holding .
Then send the following file using the Xmodem protocol : archives_voir.php?id=481757
