NESPire not working in HW W+ calculators?

Hi all,

I tried some games such as GBA, GBC and SNES in my Ti Nspire CX, but only the NES Emulator won't launch games properly.

When I launch ANY GAMES in NesPire, it just shows grey screen and the game screen won't load at all.

I possible guessed that because my hardware revision is X, it won't work with NesPire although it's launched by compatibility mode.

When I tried on my friend's Nspire (hardware revision K), it worked just fine (Mario brothers, Pacman, Galaga, Street Fighters, etc.)

Is it really the problem that my Nspire's hardware revision is higher than V?

Hi felixlee0530,

I've been running into a similar issue with my TI-Nspire CX as well, I can run GBA, GBC, and SNES emulators, but the NES emulator doesn't work properly.
I've found a way past the gray screen; by holding x(multiplication), it will run the games, however it needs to be held down, and will stop the game when it is not. It's sort of like the game is on a permanent pause of some sort when it's not pressed.
I don't know if you are still having this issue, or if you have found a fix, but please let me know as I want to play these games.

They do not work properly in revisions W+ because the resolution of the screen has changed opposite. Within that, that won't work on many programs until they feature a compatibility with newer models.

Ex: 320 x 240
240 x 320 --Reverse

Thanks for reporting.

Update to the new Ndless 4.5 released today, it fixes the gray screen issue with NESpire on CX W+/CR4+: :)

You just need to replace your ndless_resources file with the new one, and then restart the calculator (to make Ndless use the new file).
