-------------------------------------------------------------- ash crash enhanced - release beta 4 02/02/2002 -------------------------------------------------------------- ** update for beta 4 ** some people have started programming for ace beta, and i have received new feedback about problems associated with programming for ace. there were several problems, and they have all been fixed. there also needed some clarification so i will list those below. updates: fixes: - flag for D_ZM_STR is set correctly when program starts updates: - HL_DECI returns HL->printable string and A as a number of blank digits. look in the devkit for more information. ** update for beta 3 ** i have now received some more feedback about the second beta release. the few mails i got said that they have a tilted display, which results from the unfortunate people out there with slow display hardware. these people claimed that the screen looked like a "staircase". so here's the update: fix: safer timing when accessing the lcd and i keep getting mails about crash programs not working... AS I STATE IN THIS DOCUMENT BELOW, OLD ASH AND CRASH PROGRAMS _DO_NOT_WORK_ IN ACE. ** update for beta 2 ** i received some feedback on the first beta release, and all of them said that ACE crashed on a v19.006 rom... so here's the update: bugfix: crashing "exit to tios" function bugfix: incorrect address for one of the v19.006 rom calls hopefully this remedies the situation. *********************** this is the beta version of the newest ti82 shell, dubbed ACE after ash and crash. it was worked on for several months by the ash and crash authors. this new version should work on a ti82 with rom versions v16.0, v17.0, v18.0, v19.0, and v19.006. ** note: ace will *not* run old ash/crash programs ** ace is prepacked with 6 programs: contrast edit-82 v2.0 by crash man mineseeker by crash man fast tunnel by avd slippy v1.13 by avd rotation tester these files are included in the acebeta.82b backup file. the final specs have not yet been met, but we are working hard in our spare time to get this as close as possible to perfect as we can. this is only a beta version, so if there are any problems, feel free to email the authors at ace@crashware.lfx.org the real release will come soon. until then, enjoy! credits --------- main programming hideaki omuro (crashman) research dines justesen akito nozaki (anpluto) jeff mears special thanks andrew von dollen (waffy)
