+========================================+ | | | Obliterate v1.0 | | -= A Doors CS 7 Program =- | | by Christopher "Kerm Martian" Mitchell | | March 7, 2011 | | http://www.cemetech.net | | | +========================================+ I. Requirements and Installation . ..--================================--.. . To play Obliterate, you need Doors CS 7.1.1 or higher. You can get Doors CS at: http://dcs.cemetech.net To install Obliterate, simply send OBLITR8.8xp to your TI-83+, TI-83+ Silver Edition, TI-84+, or TI-84+ Silver Edition graphing calculator. You can either run it via the Doors CS Homerun feature from your calculator's homescreen by simply executing prgmOBLITR8 on the homescreen, or open Doors CS via the Apps menu, then run OBLITR8. II. Using Obliterate 1.0 . ..--=========================--.. . Obliterate can be executed via Homerun or from the Doors CS desktop. The first time you start Obliterate, it will ask you for your username, which is stored inside the program so that on subsequent runs it will not ask. It will also ask for the minimum number of players, the difficulty, and whether you want your tank to be dark or light. The minimum number of players will specify how many AI tanks will be added to a game. If you play a single player game with a minimum of 4 players, Obliterate will pit you against three AIs. If two of your friends join you, then there will be three humans and one AI. The difficulty ranges from 1 to 5, and specifies the AIs' accuracy. Choosing your tank to be light or dark makes all the other tanks appear as the opposite. When you are inside the text-entry box, you can use the keys to type, [ALPHA] to change alpha modes, and [2nd] or [TRACE] to return to the mouse. See also the Doors CS 7 manual for all the characters that can be typed in a text-entry box. Click on any of the four items in the Obliterate main menu to start a game, modify settings, view the About window, or quit the game. The counter field next to the calculator icon indicates how many other calcs running Oblit are on your CALCnet network. When your calculator is connected to one or more other calculators via a CALCnet hub (or even a simple Unit-to-Unit cable), then the calculators will see each other, and you can play against the other calculators. Please see http://www.cemetech.net to ask about building a CALCnet hub; visit http://www.cemetech.net/projects/item.php?id=33 for more information about CALCnet itself. While playing Obliterate, the last tank standing is the winner. Use the [Up] and [Down] arrows to rotate your tank's turret, and the [<] and [>] arrows to raise or lower the power. There is random wind on each turn, which is shown at the top of the screen. III. More Information . ..--=========================--.. .
