====================================================== = DowngradeFix 3.9 for TI-Nspire CX / CX CAS OS v3.9 = ====================================================== Introduction ------------ DowngradeFix 3.9 makes it possible to downgrade the OS version on TI-Nspire ClickPad / CX calculators from 3.9 versions to older versions. This way, users can get back to e.g. the OS 3.6 versions, on which they can take advantage of the full power of their calculator through the well-known Ndless ( http://ndless.me ). Among other things, with the ability to get back to OS 3.6, users gain back - or gain for the first time, depending on the calculator's hardware revision and manufacturing date - the ability to execute Micro Python for the Nspire ( http://ti-pla.net/python ). This is extremely important for educational purposes, which are supposed to be the point of calculators: Micro Python ( http://micropython.org ) is a reduced implementation of Python, which has become the #1 programming language for learning programming, and one of the most used programming languages in the real world :) Supported OS versions --------------------- 3.9.0.461 for CX CAS, CX non-CAS 3.9.0.463 for CX CAS, CX non-CAS 3.9.1.38 for CX CAS, CX non-CAS 3.9.0.461 for ClickPad CAS, ClickPad non-CAS 3.9.0.463 for ClickPad CAS, ClickPad non-CAS Installation ------------ - Send the DowngradeFix '.tns' file matching your calculator model and OS version. - Disconnect the USB. - On the calculator, open the received file. - Reconnect the USB - you should be shown a message telling you that the downgrade protection has been disabled. - Now send the 3.6 OS to the calculator.
