New-Old Stock Nspire with OS 1.3.2438 will not update

I recently acquired a new-old stock original TI-Nspire Clickpad, hardware version B. It came loaded with OS 1.3.2438. It will not update to any version. I have tried 1.7.1.50, 1.7.2741, 3.6.0.550, and, even in desperation, 3.9.0.463. The link software complains that the 3.* versions are corrupted and for the 1.7.* the link software runs and does nothing. The calculator continues to work throughout the attempted updates. What can I do?

In theory, updating to 1.7 should be good, then 2.1, then 3.1 then 3.9.
What transfer software did you use to try that?

Also, make sure you use the proper OS file (.tnc for Nspire CAS, .tno for Nspire (non-CAS))

The problem was I was tiring to use the current link software. Also, the old link software does not work on Windows 10. I had to take my barely functional Vista out to perform the updates. I updated to 1.71 and then 3.1.

You could have used any version of the Nspire Computer Link Software to perform all transfers !! No need to go back in time to Good'Ol'Vista !
