Page Language/Importing Pictures into Nspire CAS

I'd check the other topics to make sure this hasn't already been covered, but my first problem is that even though I set the language in this site to be English in the preferences, everything is still in French. As I don't understand that language, I'm having a few problems navigating through this site.
The real question I have is about importing a .jpg to my Nspire. I am currently running version 3.2 on a grayscale with a clickpad. I know that I could buy the student software, create a document, and import the picture. However, since I really don't need to have the full calculator software on my computer, I was wondering if there is a free program available that would let me create/edit documents and import the picture, and then transfer the document over. Any assistance would be appreciated with either issue.

Hi and welcome on TI-Planet =)

Sadly the english support is not completely done (only the important news are translated). Maybe Google Translate may help you to navigate through it.

If you don't mind to go back to OS 3.1, you may try Ndless 3.1 and use mviewer :

Thanks for the welcome and tip. I'm going to try that out. One question I have about mviewer is if I can plot a graph over the picture. I have an image of a plot of data, and I would like to add a graph of my own on top of it. I basically would like to import the image into a document and work from there. Can mviewer do that, or does it just view images?

mviewer does "just" view images, but it can view images of large size (and in multiple formats), which is a large improvement over the default OS's capabilities :)

If you have to plot something over an image, I'm afraid you only have one option : use the graph application built-in. You can add an image in the background and still do usual plotting things on top of it.
