+------------+ | FlashDiags | +------------+ program by Bsl tests & readme by Critor About FlashDiags: ---------------- Software flasher for the TI-Nspire diagnostics software. Lets you replace the diagnostics software which came with your Nspire or flash a new one if it was deleted. About the Diagnostic software: ----------------------------- * When your calculator is about to boot, you can run its included diagnostic software by pressing and holding: - Esc Menu G while turning it on (ClickPad keypad) - Esc Menu Minus while turnint it on (TouchPad keypad) * To exit the diagnostic software, you need to remove a battery or press reset. * You can remove the included diagnostic software (but it won't give you additional free space) by pressing and holding: - Home Enter G while turning it on (ClickPad keypad) - Home Enter Minus while turning it on (TouchPad keypad) The diagnostic software is immediatly deleted, and the calculator then waits for a new diagnostic software to be sent through the dock connector RS232 pins. Requires: -------- Ndless 2.0 or compatible. How-to: ------ * Install Ndless. * Put the diags image you want to flash in /ndless/diags.img * Run FlashDiags. * That's all. Troubleshooting: --------------- * On the next reboot, the calculator might run the diagnostic software automatically. Just exit the diagnostic software as explained above. * If the diagnostics software still runs again and again: - go to "additional functions" (0 key) - select "go to OS mode" and validate - exit the diagnostic software The calculator should then reboot normally, directly into the OS. Warning: ------- * Diagnostic softwares are storing their status/configuration in NAND ROM and don't use to clean/reset/remove them. You might run into problems making the diagnostic softwares unusable if you flash a version not suited for your hardware which may corrupt the diagnostic status/configuration. You should only use: - non-CAS 1.X Diagnostic images for your non-CAS TI-Nspire ClickPad - CAS 1.X Diagnostic images for your CAS TI-Nspire ClickPad - 2.X Diagnostic images for your TI-Nspire TouchPad * If you dig with the source code, be sure to know what your are doing. Writing at lower NAND ROM adresses can brick your calculator by destroying the Boot2 and it won't be fixable through software.
