VS8x (ViewScreen8x) v0.02 Brandon Wilson >What is this? This is a Flash application for the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition that allows communication with a USB Presentation Link adapter. It in combination with a Type I cable allows for connection with a projector or TI Presenter device (for connecting to a TV). It also allows you to upgrade the TI Presenter firmware over the I/O port using the data from a Flash application. (The TI Presenter firmware can be converted to a Flash application using To8XK.) >How do I use it? As it stands, this application just displays either a grid of vertical lines or a specified Pic[0-9] picture variable. It's a proof-of-concept application to show that it's possible to output whatever you want to a projector or TV, not just the LCD's current contents. To use it, just send it and the latest version of usb8x to your calculator and run VS8x from the APPS menu. It will ask which picture you want to load; press a number key ([0]-[9]) to load that Pic variable. If it can't be found, it will display a default grid of vertical lines. To upgrade the firmware, just select 2) Upgrade, select the Flash application using the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys, and press ENTER. >This sucks. In that case, your opinion doesn't matter. >Questions/Comments/Complaints/etc.? brandonlw@gmail.com, brandonw.net, etc. >Version History v0.02 - added the ability to upgrade the TI Presenter firmware over I/O using data from an oncalc Flash application (which can be created from the TI Presenter firmware BIN using To8XK.exe). v0.01 - initial release of proof-of-concept functionality.
